On a lawn near you – Sherlock Holmes and Jane Austen

The versatile Chapterhouse Theatre Company are returning to our patch this summer with outdoor performances at Gunby Hall and the Petwood Hotel.

On Saturday July 11 at 7pm you can open up the Casebook of Sherlock Holmes at Gunby Hall, and on Sunday August 23 at 6.30pm the troupe will be presenting their adaptation of “Pride and Prejudice” on the lawn here at the Petwood Hotel. You can book both shows online using these links.

prideandprejudice_150Based in Lincoln, the Chapterhouse Theatre Company was launched in 1999 with the aim of bringing some of theatre and literature’s most loved works to audiences across the UK and Ireland. This would be ambitious enough without the troupe staging their summer season exclusively outdoors. The company now tours in 140 different locations including castles, estate grounds and fields, and though an umbrella and several layers are always advisable, their twitter page (@chapterhouse_co) reflects over ten years of success.
