Frequency Festival 2015

“Frequency Festival of Digital Culture is a biennial festival hosted in the city of Lincoln, providing a platform to celebrate the pioneering spirit of digital innovation and culture through exhibition, creative collision and debate.” If this takes your fancy, or even if like me you are intrigued by “creative collision”, then do check the programme out on the Frequency website schedule before you go. The festival runs from  October 23 to November 1, with multiple events taking place in various city venues.

(By the way, when I visited the schedule page it wasn’t immediately clear which events are in which venues. I found the trick is to click on [venues] on the right-hand menu, then select [sort by venue] on the drop-down menu which appears.)

More from the website: “The festival is brought to the city through an established partnership between Threshold Studios, an artist-led creative media and visual arts organisation specialising in the production of digital, moving image and public realm works, the University of Lincoln, Lincoln BIG, Visit Lincoln, and Lincolnshire One Venues (LOV). Principal funding for Frequency Festival 2015, of £145,000, has come from the National Lottery through Arts Council England’s Grants for the Arts scheme.”
